# Policy Manager

Policy Managers can create and edit policy content, then assign those policies directly to learners.

## Policy Manager

Policy Manager is an internal admin role focused on policy content management.

Policy Managers can create and edit policy content they have been granted access to. Broader organization administration, LMS training authoring, campaigns, and reporting remain with Full Admins.

### Policy Managers can:

* Open the policy dashboard and access policies available to their permissions
* Create, edit, duplicate, import, version, and archive policy content they can access
* Organize policy content in folders
* Manage editors on policies they can access
* Use review workflows and review schedules on those policies
* Directly assign accessible policies to learners
* Export reports for those direct policy assignments

### Policy Managers cannot:

* Manage administrator access (invite, role updates, removal)
* Perform primary admin actions
* Access full-admin sections outside Policy
* Create or edit LMS training content (***unless they also have the Trainer role***)
* Assign policies through campaigns or recurring schedules
* Edit shared workflow templates
* See or manage policies they were not granted access to

#### Change an Existing Admin to Policy Manager (or back to Full Admin)

1. Go to Company > Settings > Administrators
2. Open the admin’s settings
3. Select Policy Manager, Trainer, and/or Full Admin
4. Save the role

#### Important Notes

* Only Full Admins can manage admin roles.
* The Primary Admin must remain Full Admin.
* Full Admin includes Trainer and Policy Manager capabilities.
* Trainer and Policy Manager can be combined on the same person. Full Admin cannot be combined with the other roles.
* Policy Managers only see policies they authored, own, or were added to as an editor. Full Admins also see unrestricted policies by default.
* Policy assignments from this role are limited to direct assignments of policies they can access. Campaign and recurring-schedule assignment stays with Full Admins.
* If a user has both learner and Policy Manager access, they can switch between those views in the role switcher.
