# Duplicating and Customizing Affinity Trainings

Affinity provides many great pre-built compliance training courses that are suitable for organizations of all sizes. However, sometimes you might want to extend a training with a little extra color based on how your own organization works. To support this, you can "Duplicate" any one of our trainings into your own editable training.

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: once you duplicate a training, you are responsible for maintaining. Affinity will send emails when there is a major content update to the original training, but those updates will not automatically propagate to your trainings.
{% endhint %}

## Demo

## Duplicating a Training

To start duplicating a training, go to the Training Library tab, followed by one of the Assigned or Available courses tabs and choose a training of interest.

Once on the training instance page, you will see a "Duplicate" button in the top action bar.

Click on this button to duplicate the training into your catalog.

You will be redirected to the editor which is now showing you the duplicated training. You will also see under the name of the training a reminder that this was a duplicated training as well as which training was the original source (for your reference).

You can now edit this training as if it were your own and publish it when you are ready.

## Assigning the Training

This training now shows up in your course catalog under the name you've given it. For the purposes of this demo, we renamed our AML training to "Super Custom AML Training".

Navigate to the Training Library -> Catalog -> Available Trainings and search for your training, such as:

<figure><img src="/files/efoKf78O8CcXqRsz878p" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can now see your custom training in the catalog. It's private just for your organization.

If you click on it, you can then use the preview button to see the training before assigning.

Above we see that for this example we have added a custom introduction page just for this demo company.

We can now begin assigning the training!
